Electromagnetic Waves
Nowadays almost
everyone has the equipment on this one. He
was so small that can be comfortably placed in the pocket, but is considered to
have a very large function primarily to communicate. Yes, it is a
mobile (cell phone). Nowadays
mobile phones are not only used for calling but also for other functions such
as sending and receiving short messages (SMS), listen to music, or take photos.
How
mobile devices can connect with other mobile devices when they are away from
each other?
Concept that could explain this phenomenon is the concept of electromagnetic waves. And, the concept of electromagnetic waves apparently very knowledgeable not only with TV or phone only, but many other applications can often be found everyday around us. Applications include microwave, radio, radar, or x-rays.
As has been discussed earlier that there are two basic laws of electricity and magnetism connects symptoms.
First, the electric current can be produced (induced) magnetic field. This phenomenon is known as magnetic induction. This concept is the foundation stone of Oersted who discovered this phenomenon experimentally and fully formulated by Ampere. Symptoms of magnetic induction is known as the Law of Ampere.

Michael Faraday, the discoverer of electromagnetic induction
Second, the magnetic field varies with time can produce (induce) electric field in the form of an electric current. This phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction phenomenon. The concept of electromagnetic induction discovered by Michael Faraday experimentally and formulated in full by Joseph Henry. Law of electromagnetic induction itself came to be known as the Faraday-Henry's Law.
From these two basic principles of electricity magnet above and taking into account the prevailing concept of symmetry in natural law, James Clerk Maxwell put forward a proposal. Maxwell put forward proposals, namely that if the magnetic field is changing with time can produce an electric field that the opposite may be happening. Thus Maxwell suggested that the electric field changes with time can produce (induce) the magnetic field. Maxwell's proposal became the third law that links between electricity and magnetism.
James Clerk Maxwell's electromagnetic wave theory foundation stone
Thus, the third principle is that the electric field varies with time can produce a magnetic field. The third principle is that proposed by Maxwell is essentially a development of the formulation of Ampere's law. Therefore, the principle is known as Ampere-Maxwell law.
Of the three basic principles of electricity and magnetism above, Maxwell saw an archetype. Magnetic fields can generate time-varying electric field also varies with time, and the electric field that changes with time can also generate magnetic fields. If this process is continuously it will produce a magnetic field and electric field are continuous. If the magnetic field and electric field was simultaneously propagate (spread) in the room in all directions then this is a symptom of the wave. Such waves are called electromagnetic waves because it consists of electric and magnetic fields that propagate in space.
In the beginning was in the form of electromagnetic waves from Maxwell's prediction that the intuition being able to see the underlying pattern in electricity and magnetism, as discussed above. This fact makes the JC Maxwell regarded as the inventor and formulator of the fundamentals of electromagnetic waves.
Maxwell's theory of electricity and magnetism predicted a surge elektromgnetik
Predictions Maxwell on electromagnetic waves turned out really proven. Is Heinrich Hertz who proved the existence of electromagnetic waves through experiments. Hertz experiment itself such as the generation of electromagnetic waves from an electric dipole (two poles electrically charged with different charges, positive and negative adjacent) as the electric dipole transmitter and the other as a receiver. Transmitting and receiving antennas is currently using these principles.

Through these experiments Hertz successfully generate electromagnetic waves and detected by the receiver. This experiment proved that electromagnetic waves were originally just a theoretical formulation of Maxwell, there really is once confirmed Maxwell's theory of electromagnetic waves.
